William Christie - 18/11/2011 This is an exceptional and very versatile HTPC/media centre chassis!
There are a number of useful reviews already available (see below) that go into alot more depth. Rest assured, you're getting a cutting edge design offering alot of user options and flexibility. Providing you're not overclocking, SLI'ing or XFiring (which this case can handle!), then noise levels using the standard fans provided are so low as to be undetectable, even sitting a few feet away. I've installed an i5-2500 (using a Scythe Shuriken Rev.B Quiet Low Profile CPU Cooler) + single GTX460 +60GB SDD for OS + few progs, + 3 HDD's. Absolutely no noise! By the way, do download and install XBMC - couple it with your chosen weapon / wireless keyboard/mouse - unbelievable what this software can do for your media collection!
The chassis allows space for 6 HDD's - 6x2TB?....or what about....6x3TB ? - pretty future-proof. If your m'board allows it (or use SATA expansion cards), I'm sure you'll be able squeeze in even more HDD's (monitor temps/add fan to suit). Think large media collection with this chassis.

Note that the USB 3.0 front break-out lead terminates in a 20 pin connector (newer motherboard feature) - if needed, you can purchase a converter to allow the use of standard USB3 plugs (you'll then connect these to spare USB3 ports either on your m'board or back panel).
Great and fast service fron KSN! - thanks folks. Will see you again.

Sindre Bigset - 26/08/2011 This is an amazing HTPC chassis!
USB 3.0 in the front, a lot of space for both hard drives, cpu fan and big display cards, nice temperatures/air flow and really easy to build in. And it's nice to look at too.
The two 140mm fans that are included are quite silent, and with at MSI Nvidia 560Ti with Twinfrozer cooler and a Noctua NH-C12P SE14 (which is a huge CPU cooler, but easily fitted in the PC-C60) on my i7 2600k, I have a quiet but really potent gaming HTPC. And did I say it looks good? :)
9/10 from me! (the only negative is the price maybe?)
PS: I have waited for this case a couple of months, and couldn't wait for the web shops in Norway to get it in stock. That's why I ordered it here at KSN, and it arrived in Oslo just 4 days after the order date. Great service! |
